Why Trees for Travel?
Do you want to make a difference in the world by supporting the growth of forests and the development of sustainable energy? Trees for Travel is one of the few organizations that can guarantee it. We work hand in hand with the projects that we support; they develop with our help. Other organizations quite often don't offer anything more than the purchase of CO^₂ credits from already completed projects. Because the buying and selling of CO^₂ credits alone does not lead to sustainable development, Trees for Travel works harder. For that reason we are recognized as a charity by the Dutch ANBI.

What does it mean for you?
You still fly with the airline of your choice. You continue to travel by car, train or bus, or you still use electricity or natural gas. You can, however, choose to contribute a modest amount, either before or after you travel, that goes towards neutralizing the greenhouse effect. These funds are used to plant, regenerate and maintain forests and to develop sustainable energy projects. We guarantee that enough trees will be planted to absorb all the greenhouse gas emissions resulting from your flight(s) and other activities. You will receive a certificate by email or through the post.
