Planting trees and bushes in the Tree for All program
In our Trees for All program you can contribute to our sustainable development projects in Mali and Philippines. In this program we focus on planting trees and bushes. We avoid high CO2 certification costs of western consultancy firms and ensure the money gets where it belongs: the local population.
Room for active participation
We keep our participants up to date on the newest developments, and allow them to actively participate in this process. Under the header “Projects” we also try to keep up with the developments in our projects, where possible we do this with the use of lively images. At the moment we are collecting GPS coordinates for our trees which will allow you to see exactly where your tree is planted. As soon as all the data is available we will offer you this service.
Trees for All Projects
In this program, we support the following projects:
Climate nut
In the Centre of Western Africa, the country Mali is situated. Bordered by the semi-arid Sahel region Mali is largely covered by the Sahara. The southern part is savannah. For over 70 years this is home to the plant jatropha curcas, the climate nut. This hardy shrub is of great use to local people as it is not favoured by goats. It can therefore be utilized as cattle fences; providing additional protection from wind and thus preventing soil erosion.
Reforestation Philippines
On the slopes of the volcano Mount Malindang on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines Trees for Travel together with the local population is restoring the forest. The remaining forest higher up on the slopes has a very high level of biodiversity. By planting a protecting ring of new forest around this remaining old forest, the existing biodiversity will be conserved and other species that were driven away will find a new habitat.
