Why do I have to offset for extra gas emissions and not just CO2?
The
Kyoto
protocol states that all greenhouse gases should be calculated in terms of CO2, irrespective of its specific effect. Therefore, Trees for Travel calculates the emissions of all harmful gases; in the case of flight travel, this means that almost twice as much CO2 needs to be offset.
