Is Trees for Travel a registered charity?
As yet, Trees for Travel does not have a Charity Hallmark from the Netherlands Central Bureau for Fundraising. We are, however, a registered charity in the eyes of the Dutch Tax Office and as such, your contributions are tax-deductible. This is one of the most significant differences between Trees for Travel and other carbon offsetting organisations. In order to apply for a Charity Hallmark, an organisation, quite rightly, has to operate for a number of years to prove its authenticity. Our application with the Netherlands CBF is pending.

As an organisation, we think it is very important to receive the Charity Hallmark because it will illustrate that we are indeed a non-profit organisation who uses the majority of its income to achieve its goals.
