As a company, governmental department or other organization there are many ways that you can participate in the Trees for Travel programs. Many organizations have already chosen to offset their emissions resulting from flights, car or haulage use and electricity consumption. Company events can also be made carbon neutral or donations can be given that support further tree planting. Click here for a list of participants.
Management and recovery
Thanks to your contribution we can expand the growing forests that will offset your company’s activities. Here you pay for each tonne of CO2 emitted. Alternatively, you can take part in our Trees for All program which directly supports the protection and recovery of tropical rainforest. You could choose to plant trees in Dutch forests, where obviously CO2 is also absorbed. Here you pay for each tree planted, which lowers the annual certification costs, making it more cost effective. Last but by no means least, your company could plant and adopt a whole (or part of) forest.
Whatever option you choose, Trees for Travel guarantees that as well as improving forest recovery and plantation, extra income will reach people in developing countries. The forests also provide protection from erosion and a natural environment for plant and animal life. If the forest is on Dutch soil then more people can enjoy the peace and beauty that a forest offers.
How it works
If trees appeal to you most, then you should choose Trees for All. Go directly to treesforall. If you want to offset your carbon emissions by using carbon credits, then Trees for Travel is for you. Firstly, you compile a summary of want you want to offset, based on business travel and energy use details from the previous calendar year. To aid this process we can arrange with most business travel agents that, with your permission, your annual travel details are accumulated. Based on these details, we compile an obligation-free quotation and proposal of cooperation. Subsequently, based on your final wishes, we can come to an agreement. From then on, your annual business emissions will be offset to the corresponding price: which can be seen by using our Emissions Calculator. Your particular amount of CO2 emissions are then offset by the purchase of carbon credits from diverse forestry projects (more information can be found under Trees for Travel). You will receive an annual Offset Statement, indicating the amount and location of CO2 absorption, that can be used in your environmental and/or sustainability reports.
